Michel Fokine

Michel Forkine is a famous dancer around the world.  Fokine was born in Saint Petersburg. He was a groundbreaking Russian choreographer and dancer. When he was 18, he debuted on the stage of the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre in Paquita, with the Imperial Russian Ballet. When he was 22, In 1902, he became a teacher of the ballet school. Among his students were Desha Delteil and Bronislava Nijinska.
  Also, he have so many students since he became a teacher in a ballet school. The most famous students by his training were were Desha Delteil and Bronislava Nijinska.

Fokine wants to move beyond the ballet traditions. For himself, ballet techniques were not an end. But he wants find a new form, which is a new way means of expression. Because in this time, most of the ballet dancers were focus on the traditional ballet dressing and music. He believe there have a new performance that reflect the themes conveyed in the ballets. Fokine studied Greek and Egyptian art, including vase-painting and sculpture, which aided the development of his themes. However, his topic is very important in the ballet history, he changed the audiences' focus.
